Children and adolescents can experience mental health difficulties in much the same way as adults, dealing with the pressures of school, exams, sexuality, friendships and family life can sometimes be hard. With our support, we can help children move forward with their lives and feel happier, more confident and more comfortable within themselves and when communicating with others.
What help is most effective?
During your child’s first appointment, the clinician will make a detailed assessment of the presenting difficulties and how these difficulties are impacting upon the child’s life. We will then recommend a course of treatment collaboratively with you and your child. Therapy will not commence until a collaborative decision is made.
